Welcome to the official website of the Milton, Ontario Steam-Era.  Held every Labour Day weekend in the town of Milton, Ontario, Steam-Era is quite possibly one of the best Steam shows in all of North America!  Our event hosts a large  array of operating steam traction engines and stationary steam engines.Steam traction engines, referring to a type of agricultural tractor powered by steam, were used in Canada extensively in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s.  The Milton Ontario Steam-Era showcases a variety of steam engines restored to their original glory!

 Steam-Era also features operating gas tractors and stationary engines from the era when steam was giving way to gasoline power.  The shift to gasoline driven equipment on the farm began in earnest during the period between the two great wars. The many items of  gasoline driven equipment on display are faithfully restored and fully operating during the show.

That was also the era when automobiles became more commonplace.   The display of  many restored antique cars is yet another exciting part of Steam-Era.
